Puppies up to 10 weeks should eat three to four times a day. The number of times should be reduced progressively until they reach six weeks. Young dogs should be fed twice a day. Adult dogs can eat once or twice a day, but the latter option is preferable. Feeding can only be reduced to once a day when the dog is one year old. Regardless of how many times you feed your dog, this should be done always at the same time. Besides that, a bowl with fresh water should always be made available.
